How Do I Join?
Tryouts will be held in both the Fall and Spring of the 2022-2023 Academic Year! For spring 2023, tryouts will be held from 2/3-2/4.
We will also be holding a pre-tryout workshop in the Whig Hall Senate Chamber on 1/31 from 7-9PM, where current members will help prepare you for what to expect at tryouts.
What Kind of People Join?
No experience is required to tryout for PDP as the team accepts students with all different kinds of backgrounds and experience levels. We strongly value mentorship and coaching, and are looking primarily for analytical thinkers who are interested in debate.
How Can I Find Out More?
During the beginning of Fall semester, an open house will be held where one can ask current members questions about the team. There will also be two workshops for prospective members who want to become more comfortable with the tryout process, and a demonstration debate for prospective members to get a better sense of what college debate is like.
